National Flood Risk Awareness Week

On 1st-5th November, Landmark and the National Flood Forum are marking the 10th Anniversary of the Great Autumn Floods 2000 by launching the National Flood Awareness Week.

10 years on and 25% of British homes are still at risk of flooding. Will this be a common view of our streets in the future....?

Joking aside, flooding remains a very current and serous issue. The week will raise awareness of flooding and its implications. Various events are being scheduled, including:

  • MP reception hosted by Anne McIntosh MP
  • "Wear you wellies" to work day to raise funds for the cause
  • National and regional media communications
